Each Escapod can be packed full of practical ideas to make your life easier and more enjoyable. The following features can be added before your Escapod leaves the factory:
- Exterior timber decking
- 32 inch flat plasma screen TV including freeview, DVD player and surround sound speakers (also built in outdoor aerial)
- Small designer sink complete with taps and cupboard for storing cups or office items and water heater
- Soft drinks cooler/fridge
- Low energy internal lighting system
- Cordless phone system with built-in answering machine
- Exterior sensor-activated lights
- Keypad burglar alarm system
- Electrically operated awning to provide shade at the entrance
- Electrically operated vertical blinds
- Discreet heating system for the winter
- Air circulation fan for the summer
Practicality
We have given a lot of thought to the aesthetics of the interior to make it appealing to all users. For example,
- The interior wall compose of a 9mm solid plywood timber behind and are dry lined, which means that pictures, mirrors or shelves can be hung anywhere with standard wood screws.
- Unsightly internal electrical duct work and cabling is hidden behind the dry lined walls.
- All the electric double sockets are recessed into the walls giving smooth surface finish.
- Double glazing and insulation in the walls and ceiling and floor means that the pod can be easily heated in the cold days.
Ease of Installation
All Escapods arrives on site ready to use within hours. The structural frame is made from both timber and mild steel, making it both easy to lift into place and yet robust against the elements.
Maximum natural lighting
The floor to ceiling glass door is double glazed and makes up 60% of the front wall to maximise sunlight. The glass is also tinted reducing any annoying glare.

Minimum Site Preparations
Each Escapod rests on Support Mounts which can be raised or lowered to ensure a level floor regardless of the site conditions
Contemporary Appearance and Low Maintenance
The exterior walls are finished with Silcosan Flex, a silicon based paint which brings together the advantages of a modern finish coat with a particularly high elasticity and cooling flexibility. The weather resistant finish remains fresh and sharp for years. The interior walls come painted in a water based emulsion to the colour of your choosing.
